I’ve tried to place an order, but can’t. Help!
Register first by providing us with your contact details and information. You do not have to provide your credit card information until you check-out.
How can I tell when my order has been successfully made?
Once you’ve place your order online, you’ll receive an email confirmation with all the details of your order and delivery times.
Are my credit card details safe?
Yes. We use Standard Bank’s payment gateway, which means all your credit card details are saved on a secure payment gateway, not on this website. We don’t have access to those details at any stage.
I have always had an account with OPEN Food and we settle it monthly, do I now have to use a credit card?
Absolutely not. When you register, you will be given the option to quote your existing account number and all your orders will be charged to your account and billed monthly, just like before.
When will my credit card be debited?
Your credit card will be debited immediately on confirmation of your order.
What happens if you don’t have stock of the item I want?
All items are subject to availability and may be substituted with a suitable equivalent. We’ll communicate with you prior to doing this.
Do you have Kosher meals?
We offer a limited range of Kosher platters – these can be provided when ordering standard platters – prices will be quoted accordingly. As our Kosher platters are outsourced, orders must be placed a minimum of two working days prior to delivery in order to ensure availability.

Do your prices include or exclude VAT?
All prices quoted are inclusive of VAT.
Do I get charged extra for deliveries?
Yes, a standard delivery fee of R75.00 will be included with all orders. If your delivery address falls outside our standard delivery areas, there will be an additional fee. Please click here for more info.
Will my orders arrive hot?
All platters and meals are delivered cold and certain platters require that you heat them for best results. Simply follow the heating instructions provided.
Do I have to return the trays and dishes?
No, all items are supplied in disposable containers and food trays. Simply throw them away. No need to do dishes.
Can I order half portions?
Yes. You’ll charged 65% of the full price.
Are your deliveries on time, all the time?
Our delivery times are approximate. Some deliveries may arrive earlier than requested depending on our delivery schedules. It’s important to note that you make your orders on time, see below,
What are your standard delivery times?
Mondays to Fridays 8:30am – 4pm
Saturdays 8:30am – 12noon
Sundays and public holidays 8:30am – 12noon
When ordering your muffin mix, what are the muffins baked in?
Our Muffin Mixes come with full instructions and we also offer muffin case to bake your muffins in. You have the option of using muffin cases printed with OPEN Food, branding them with your own logo or plain muffin cases.
