Terms and Conditions
- To place an order you have to register
- Once you place your order online, you will receive confirmation by email
- Unless you have an account with Open Food, your credit card will be debited immediately
- A standard delivery fee of R75.00 will be included, subject to area
- All platters are delivered cold and certain platters require that you heat them for best results
- All ready-made meals ordered from our catering team are delivered cold. Simply reheat as required, and heating instructions will be supplied.
- All items are supplied in disposable containers and food trays
- Half platters will be charged at 65% of full price
- Delivery times are approximate only. Platters may be delivered earlier than requested depending on delivery schedules
- All items are subject to availability and may be substituted with a suitable equivalent
- As part of our service, we offer a limited range of Kosher platters – these can be provided when ordering standard platters – prices will be quoted accordingly
- As our Kosher platters are outsourced, orders must be placed a minimum of two working days prior to delivery in order to ensure availability
- Cancellation of orders less than 12 hours prior to delivery will result in full payment of the order to be made.
- Branded Muffin papers are subject to prior agreement with a client and an initial minimum order of 60 000 units.
- All prices quoted inclusive of VAT.
- Payment options accepted: Payment may be made via Visa, MasterCard, Diners or American Express credit cards or by bank transfer into the OPEN Food (Pty) Ltd bank account, the details of which will be provided on request
- Credit card acquiring and security: Credit card transactions will be acquired for OPEN Food (Pty) Ltd via PayGate (Pty) Ltd who are the approved payment gateway for Standard Bank of South Africa. PayGate uses the strictest form of encryption, namely Secure Socket Layer 3 (SSL3) and no credit card details are stored on the website. Users may go to www.paygate.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy
- Customer details separate from card details: Customer details will be stored by OPEN Food (Pty) Ltd separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayGate’s secure site. For more detail on PayGate refer to www.paygate.co.za
- Merchant Outlet country and transaction currency: The merchant outlet country at the time of presenting payment options to the cardholder is South Africa. Transaction Currency is South African Rand (ZAR).
- Responsibility: OPEN Food (Pty) Ltd takes responsibility for all aspects relating to the transaction including sale of goods and services sold on this website, customer service and support, dispute resolution and delivery of goods
- Country of domicile: This website is governed by the laws of South Africa and OPEN Food (Pty) Ltd chooses as its domicilium citandi et executandi for all purposes under this agreement, whether in respect of court process, notice, or other documents or communication of whatsoever nature
- Variation: OPEN Food (Pty) Ltd may, in its sole discretion, change this agreement or any part thereof at any time without notice.
- Company information: This website is run by OPEN Food (Pty) Ltd based in South Africa trading as OPEN Food.
Refund Policy
- Pre-paid orders cancelled 24 hours prior to delivery will be refunded in full.
- Refunds will be made via EFT to the client within 5 working days of receiving the cancellation request.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellations received on the day of scheduled delivery nor will refunds be issued for cancellations received less than 24 hours before delivery is scheduled.
- No refunds will be issued for goods received and signed for.
- If goods received by the client are not satisfactory according to the client, these can be returned to OPEN Food with OPEN Food’s driver and, upon inspection by OPEN Food and upon OPEN Food concurring that the goods are indeed not satisfactory, a full refund will be issued to the client within 5 working days.
- If, however, OPEN Food deems the goods to be in a satisfactory condition, the goods will either be returned to the client at the client’s expense, alternatively the goods will be disposed of if the client no longer wishes to take delivery of the goods. No refund will be issued to the client in this regard.
